School is out for summer, and our team is welcoming 26 interns as they begin gaining real-world experience across the construction industry.

Throughout the summer, these students will work alongside our teams in both the field and office, contributing to project management, estimating, marketing, and more while experiencing the day-to-day work that keeps projects moving forward.

Our internship program is built to give students meaningful exposure to the industry through hands-on experience, mentorship, and collaboration across the company. We’re proud to see the impact of the program continue beyond the summer months, recently celebrating several interns who joined our team full time following graduation.

Builders Night with the Lincoln Saltdogs has become a tradition our team looks forward to every year. From the Construction Olympics and game day activities to connecting with others in the industry, it’s always a great opportunity to celebrate the people and partnerships that help build our communities.

This year’s event was especially meaningful as our team was presented with a plaque recognizing the exceptional craftsmanship, dedication, and commitment behind the original construction of Haymarket Park. It's rewarding to see the stadium continue to serve as a home for Saltdogs baseball, Husker Athletics, and community events across Lincoln.

We’re proud of our history with Haymarket Park, proud to continue supporting the Saltdogs and local athletics, and proud to be part of Builders Night year after year.

As part of the OSHA Safety Stand-Down, our team recently hosted a fall protection training focused on raising awareness about fall hazards and reinforcing safe work practices on our jobsites.

The training featured representatives from Farmers Insurance, Senior Sampson Safety Specialist Michael Hershey, and guest speaker Rob Luckey from FallTech, who shared insight on fall prevention, proper tie-off procedures, harness demonstrations, and OSHA fall protection requirements. Real-world stories and safety experiences served as a powerful reminder of the importance of fall protection every day on the job.

The training was held onsite at the USDA Greenhouse Innovation Center Expansion project at Nebraska Innovation Campus, a 25,057 SF project consisting of three research greenhouses and a precast concrete headhouse connected to the existing Greenhouse Innovation Center.

As we wrap up National Police Week, we want to extend our sincere appreciation to the law enforcement and public safety professionals who serve our communities every day. We’re grateful for the opportunity to connect with several of our partners throughout the week and recognize their dedication, sacrifice, and commitment.

Thank you to the University of Wyoming Police Department, Laramie Police Department, Casper Police Department, Papillion Police Department, and Fremont Police Department for all you do. It was an honor for our teams to provide lunch and show our support in a small way for your continued service.

More than 124,000 safe hours worked. Zero injuries | Clyde Malone Community Center

Those numbers matter because of the people behind them. On the new Clyde Malone Community Center, safety was built into the project through planning, communication, accountability, field leadership, and the daily commitment of every person who stepped onto the jobsite.

A strong safety record does not happen by chance. It reflects our team’s focus, our subcontractors’ professionalism, and a shared belief that every worker deserves to go home safely at the end of the day. From daily coordination to hazard awareness and jobsite communication, safety remained a priority from start to finish.

Thank you to our Sampson Construction project team, field leaders, and trade partners for helping complete this important community project with more than 124,000 safe hours and zero injuries. That achievement is something every person involved can be proud of.

The new Clyde Malone Community Center is a powerful example of what can happen when a project is built with the community, not just for the community.

Throughout construction, the site became a place of learning, engagement, and shared purpose. Hundreds of students, professionals, stakeholders, and community members connected with the project through tours, ceremonies, and educational opportunities, gaining a firsthand look at the work and the future this facility represents.

Projects like this are made possible through strong relationships and steady communication. We’re grateful for the collaboration between Clyde Malone Community Center, Sinclair Hille Architects, our subcontractor partners, local stakeholders, community members, and the Sampson Construction team. Together, this group helped shape a facility that will serve youth, families, and the broader community for generations.

This project reflects the best of partnership: listening, showing up, working safely, solving challenges together, and staying focused on the people who will use this space every day.
