With tornadoes, hail, and severe weather incoming to Eastern Nebraska and Western Iowa here are a few things to think about.
Many restoration companies chase storms from state to state, always ask for insurance and their state of Nebraska dept of labor contractor Registration number.

Other things to consider after storms roll through is not only if you got damage but is there enough storm damage and what part if any of the damage is covered?
Unfortunately just because you have insurance doesn't mean your property will be covered by insurance or that it would be worth submitting a claim to insurance. For example we had several customers hit by the August 2025 storm in Lincoln, the damage to thier homes was just over their deductibles. This means they are covered but out of the say $2800 of damage the insurance company would only pay $300 as thier deductible was $2500. They now have a claim on their record and have to pay $2500 for repairs.
Something most companies wont tell you is it is not always worth calling your insurance.
This is especially true now that insurance companies have been dropping customers with 2 or more claims in a 1 year duration.
