At the show, LG Electronics built an impressive 22,000-square-foot zero-carbon booth, constructed entirely of upcycled, recycled and recyclable materials, to serve as the sustainable platform to showcase its portfolio of green ENERGY STAR® certified home appliances and share its broad sustainability commitment, including eco-friendly product and packaging designs, greener production processes and reductions of hazardous substances. Sustainability is embodied throughout all areas of LG’s business. During the conference LG shared its pledge to use up to 600,000 tons of recycled plastic in its manufacturing process and increase the recovery of electronic waste to up to 8 million tons by 2030.
