Diesel Mechanic

Job description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual who can assist in maintaining our fleet of Freightliner trucks, various passenger vehicles, and equipment such as forklifts and scissor lifts. The right candidate should have excellent communication skills and leadership qualities. This individual will be responsible for leading our fleet team (diesel mechanic assistants) and is expected to communicate effectively with our team of drivers. Although this position is one of leadership, we want an individual ready to work and get their hands dirty - not just supervise! This individual should have experience in heavy-duty diesel maintenance/repair and in the automotive industry. This position is perfect for someone looking for variety in their daily job. Bi-lingual in English and Spanish is a plus!

Typical duties include:
· Scheduled maintenance of OTR trucks
· Scheduled maintenance of cars and pickup trucks
· Tracking of all repairs and scheduled maintenance
· Tracking and optimizing OTR truck mileage
· Repairs to dry vans, flatbeds, and dump trailers
· Repairs, including overhauls, to Detroit 60 Series diesel
· Repairs to various cars and light trucks.
Must be dependable and able to maintain a clean and safe work environment. CDL class A license preferred.
Experience with Freightliner, Detroit 60 Series, and end dump trailers preferred.

Experience:
Diesel Engine Repair: 2 years (Preferred)
Mechanical Knowledge: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification: CDL A (Preferred)
Bi-lingual in English and Spanish.

Full Time: Monday-Friday 7:00am-5pm with Saturdays/OT as needed for fleet repairs.

Benefits: Company subsidized health insurance, two weeks vacation, and 6 paid Holidays after the probationary period. A company vehicle will be provided after a standard probationary period.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Industrial Electrician/Controls Technician

Installation and or/removal of industrial machinery and equipment. We install and upgrade large machines used in industrial factories such as extruders, presses, and converting equipment. Knowledge of the N.E.C, ability to read manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications are required. Responsibilities include installation, termination, and troubleshooting of control wiring. You must be very detail-oriented and take pride in your work. The ability to bend and thread IMC and rigid conduit is a huge plus. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and electrical and electronic test equipment. Care for and clean tools, parts, materials, and work area. Understand, practice, and enforce safe work practices. Must be extremely reliable!

Full Time: Monday-Thursday 7am-5pm.
*some Fridays will be required*
Travel may be required (MAY INVOLVE OUT OF STATE). This is a local, permanent, full-time position. Must be willing to commute to the Hickory, Lincolnton, and/or Conover areas on a daily basis.
