Packaging materials, performing minor repairs, pulling finished product from the production line, and Material inspection.
Follow written or verbal instructions given by supervisor to perform production tasks.
Maintain equipment and machinery maintenance as assigned;
Become familiar with all the products (part numbers, gauges, etc.) and how they are used and stored;
Think and practice safety daily;
Accomplishes all tasks as appropriately assigned or requested.

Schedule:

Monday-Thursday 6:30 am- 5:00 pm, Friday as needed

Pay: $12-$14/hr.

Job Description
Summary of Position

The Slitter Operator is responsible for the overall productivity of the line, with a goal of 100% efficiency and cross-trains the Slitter Helpers/Assistants (Uncoiler/Set-Ups/Recoiler) at Schaeffer Industries.

Responsibilities and Duties

As a minimum, the following is a basic description of typical duties and responsibilities expected of the Slitter Operator position. These duties are not exhaustive and are subject to change as the needs of the organization require.

Build set-ups by placing spacers and knives onto the slitter head and tension stand at specified widths in order for the steel coils to be cut to the customer's specifications.
Monitor the process of steel being cut, knowing the fixed gauge of each coil, and making adjustments accordingly.
Enter data for the exact specifications onto the appropriate form for data entry into the computer.
Direct Slitter Helpers how to stage and unload coils to be processed for maximum efficiency.
Inform Plant Manager when supplies to perform job duties are in low supply.
Safely operate the forklift through the plant to move coils and skids to designated areas and operate the over-head crane to move coils to and from the slitter.
Keep immediate work area clean and organized throughout the day.
Use precision when operating tools such as tape measures, micrometers and calipers.
Cross train Slitter Helpers.
Required Skills

Good written and oral communication skills
Ability to measure using different tools
Good reading and math skills
Good organizational, problem solving, and time management skills

SEEKING INSIDE SALES REPRESENTATIVE INTERESTED IN A FULL-TIME, LONG-TERM POSITION

JOB PURPOSE: Close contracts with customers and vendors, at defined monthly goals, that ensure company profitability and customer satisfaction.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Communicate with customers. This includes selling material and responding to inquiries.
Plan and prioritize sales calls to inform customers of future rollings (book off of rolling).
Monitor and report market and competitor activities.
Create, update, and maintain price matrices according to agreed contract.
Maintain and develop existing and new customers.
Create, maintain, and distribute customer order status reports.
Support outside sales (quoting, scheduling appointments, etc.).
Assist in sales promotions and marketing activities.
Create, update, and maintain year-end purchasing trends to assist in forecasting.
ATP/WF/AMR Order entry and file maintenance.
Organize and maintain both electronic and manual files.
Handle customer service work with both clients and employees.
Cross trained to assist in the creation of test reports and load releases
Additional Duties and Responsibilities

Identifies revenue opportunities within existing customers through communications, programs and other activities as needed;
Prospects, qualifies and generates sales within the company's established trading partners;
Ensures customer identification, planning, account qualification and needs analysis at all prospect levels;
Telephones prospects to identify appropriate contacts, qualify and drive leads through the sales pipeline;
Identifies and closes additional purchases of products and services by customers;
Works closely with Outside Sales and Business Development (quoting, scheduling appointments, etc.);
Responds to requests from customers for information and gives presentations, as needed;
engages in technical discussions with potential clients through demonstrations and presentations.
QUALIFICATIONS

Experience, Competencies and Education

A minimum of 1 year in sales of tangible goods (physical products);
High school or Equivalent required;
Knowledge of accessing and using the Internet and MS Office tools;
Knowledge of computer systems, communication tools and software such as Windows programs;
Excellent communication skills are required, both written and oral.
Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and/or interpret simple to common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents;
Ability to respond to simple to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community;
Ability to effectively present information to top management, various departments, and employees of all levels.
