It's always a pleasure seeing Mark and Mary Pierson from Sarasota Fl, and our first trip to the Triple Crown of Rodding made it possible. Resto Mod Tech doesn't do many one-off pieces, but for a friend, I make exceptions! Here are some highlights of the headlights, with added halos. Custom hood, fender, wiper grills, along with a cool front grill, all designed in a honeycomb pattern.

Describing this build as "over the top" doesn't do Mark's efforts justice. Way to go, brother!

Today marks my 61st trip around the sun, and I’m giving myself a pretty big birthday gift: the start of my hopeful retirement from Resto Mod Tech.

For the past 11 years, I’ve had the privilege of designing and building custom headlights and billet grilles for the cars I’m truly passionate about. It’s been an incredible ride, and I’m grateful for everyone who has supported, followed, purchased, shared, or simply appreciated the work along the way.

Over the last year, I’ve been carefully documenting the build process for every product so the right manufacturer can carry the work forward. The manuals, videos, support materials, and bookkeeping records are complete and ready for the next chapter.

Marketing and self-promotion have never been my strongest skills, which means there’s a real opportunity here for the next owner to take RMT even further. If you know someone who understands this space—or if you simply want to help me find the right buyer—please share this post.

I’ll share more soon about a finder’s fee for the person who helps make the right connection.

A few months ago, a customer named Sam reached out to me about installing my kit on his '67 coupe, which already had a painted finish. This was a new challenge, as most of my customers typically undertake ground-up builds. However, Sam was determined to tackle this DIY project!

Sam was also kind enough to help me document the installation process. This was particularly helpful as it marked the first time a C2 Halo kit was installed in the OEM faux lid style; most others have opted for the "smoothed out" look. Given that this was only serial number 005 on this style kit, Sam's insights were incredibly valuable in helping me identify areas to further improve the design.

A year ago this month, Mike Staveski (Restomod Vette in Hudson, FL) challenged me to consider designing a stationary 63-67 Vette headlight kit. Although I was really happy with the design and prototype, I had reservations about marketing the kit. I decided not to promote them until after SEMA, where Peter Brock's 63 SWC studio concept car debuted. Okay, I got the message now. The batch of six kits that we have in process has SOLD already. We have started another six kits, slated for mid-April shipping. Scottsdale Barrett-Jackson will be the next opportunity for enthusiasts to get their eyes on this new kit as the coupe crosses the block. Reach out if you want information to pre-order!

This kit includes the following: Powder coated steel chassis, with custom fiberglass body pieces. Morimito MLED 2.0 LED lamps with switchback halos (white with amber turn) are mounted to a 3-point aiming base. The UV and scratch resistant lens and reusable gaskets create a humidity-controlled environment for the lamp assemblies. The customer can choose the ‘smooth look’ or a ‘faux OEM look’ when it comes to utilizing the provided fiberglass. A detailed manual is provided to ensure the installation process goes smoothly.

A huge shout out to Rusty, Mark, Matt and the crew at Burning River Restomods for their continued support of RMT products! Headlight kits, grills and more shipping out today. Pictures are from this year's Scottsdale auction, with two great examples of the level of C2 builds they do.

Can't wait to see what they have up their sleeve on a special C2 Coupe project that RMT is helping out with some product. Going to be a contender, I'm sure 😎👍

Bad news is that I'm sold out of headlights now! Production is in motion and we'll take pre-orders for a September delivery schedule.
