S3 Welding’s sales force and PM team was onsite with a client looking over a project to give an estimate on when this little side quest popped up.

A couple quick measurements by our sales staff and a days work fabricating these replacement spools in our shop was all that was needed to get this turned around for them in 2 days with a scheduled line break for our team to install! 💪

Because of the skilled craftsmen we have on our team these prefab spools dropped right into place, meaning less expensive onsite time was required of us and minimal downtime of their process was needed. We were able to provide a full weld doc and passivation report with these spools. After passivation we seal the ports to ensure the part doesn’t become contaminated in transit. It’s the attention to the little details that have always made us shine 💪

At our core:
S3 Welding is a “good faith contractor” a phrase coined by our founder (myself) and one that I hope catches on in our industry. Our focus is one dedicated to uplifting those around us. Whether it’s our customer, other contractors on the same site, and especially our internal team/network. We focus on bringing to the table a level of care, confidence and dedication to our craft that supersedes all traditionally recognized drivers that make a company profitable. For we believe in business that can still be done with a firm handshake, followed by truth and transparency until a projects completion. Our staff believe this at their core and it’s what our company is based off of. S3 aims to be your partner not just a contractor.

Last weeks productivity:

I personally took the liberty of visiting three major job sites that we have going on at the moment. These projects range from gas blending for the semiconductor industry with microfit orbital welding and VCR fittings, to stoping in Missouri to check in on some pharmaceutical skids we have been assisting with manufacturing, and then lastly with a large expansion to a F&B facility in San Antonio that requires a high level of equipment layout, design and automation to execute on.

While here this week we closed on 2 more pharmaceutical contracts that start in mid March, another large shop piping spools project just came in and we successfully put together 2 large proposals for consideration.

I can confidently say that we would not be here today if it weren’t for the men and women that work for, and our customers that support, S3 welding. Our core beliefs is what has gotten us this far and I believe it’s the main driver of our success. My team is all in on being a “good faith contractor” meaning we will stop at nothing until it’s done right. Our staff is what makes this possible, they are what make this business model profitable. For without true expertise backing this claim we would have gone bankrupt in our 1st year, yet here we are 6 years later, growing and expanding.

Demand for orbital weld technicians is growing FAST. You’re not just going to see this type of welding in Semiconductor and Pharmaceutical anymore, it’s becoming so prevalent, so efficient, so accurate and versatile that you’ll see it EVERYWHERE tube and pipe systems are installed. With the AWS reporting nearly half a million welders will be absent from the work force by 2030 it’s no wonder the welding industry has increasingly shifted focus toward automation, cobots, and orbital welding systems. For in the absence of a workforce we need rely on machines to fill the gap.

AMERICA is experiencing the greatest industrial boom since the Cold War! Technology is rapidly accelerating, micro chips are in everything, automation powers all industry and behind all of this are operations seemingly just as complex as semiconductor manufacturing itself that require the same level of precision in their ex*****on.

The attached photos show some of the work we completed at a gas blending facility, where noble gases are blended to create a precise mixture which is then mixed with halogen gases in the equipment to excite the excimer laser used in the photolithography process of microchip manufacturing. This is an industry that will in turn experience tremendous growth as it’s an essential component in the manufacturing of micro chips.

That level of precision, perfection, purification across all sectors that support Semiconductor manufacturing is only found in areas where robotics were implemented and those technicians that operated them genuinely cares about what they were doing.

This isn’t some high level sales pitch for S3 Welding. This is an APB to all those in manufacturing. Our industry is changing and if we can help you in some way please let us know. Our goal is to bring others up to speed with what’s going on, not leave them in the dark. There is more work to be done than there are those of us capable of doing it. Its best we come together to build up our industry, so that when perfection calls, we are ready to deliver.

It’s not always the big projects that show you truly care but the willingness to come out on a weekend to do the little stuff.

I’ve always loved my work, in fact, it’s never felt like a chore to go out and do these service calls. I love waking up early, sipping coffee on my drive in, unloading my tools and getting to work 💪

This customer wanted some stainless 316 clips attached to their tanks to hold a battery pack for tank illumination. We tossed this in with another PO we were working on for them and scheduled the install to occur on a weekend they weren’t running.

Sometimes it’s the little stuff that means the most, I can tell they were very appreciative and I’m grateful to have such awesome customers to support! 👌

All that’s left is some electrical work, receiving the larger fixture table and we are off to the races!
