Cheoy Lee Yachts is currently preparing for the construction of a new 127 Discovery explorer yacht featuring naval architecture and engineering by Boksa Marine Design.

BMD's design work centered on creating a capable, efficient platform for extended voyaging. The vessel features a traditional steel displacement hull with sharp entry and spray chine, optimized through extensive computational fluid dynamics (CFD) analysis to ensure exceptional stability, seakindliness, and fuel efficiency.

Key design contributions include strategic service area optimization and crew quarters layout supporting operational efficiency on long-range expeditions.

This ongoing collaboration reflects BMD's continued role as a trusted design partner for leading yacht manufacturers worldwide.

𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗦𝗽𝗼𝘁𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗵𝘁: 𝗝𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗕𝗲𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗿, 𝗣𝗘

We're proud to announce that 𝗝𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗕𝗲𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗿, Naval Architect at Boksa Marine Design, has earned his 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿 (𝗣𝗘) license from the state of Florida!

Jack has been with BMD for five years, starting as an intern in 2021 and quickly joining the team full-time. As a Naval Architect, he leads BMD's FRP engineering division and has been instrumental in designing military, commercial, and recreational vessels to meet ISO, CFR, ABS, and ABYC standards.

"Earning my PE license is a significant milestone - I'm currently the youngest person at BMD with this certification," Jack shares. "It demonstrates that as a young engineer, I can handle complex and important engineering work. This license gives BMD another individual who can legally sign and take responsibility for the work we complete, and I'm looking forward to putting it to use to serve our clients and the marine industry."

Jack's achievement strengthens BMD's capabilities in delivering compliant, innovative vessel designs for our clients. His commitment to engineering excellence raises the bar for our entire team.

Congratulations to Ethan Trupia on earning his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Arizona State University - graduating Summa Cum Laude!

Ethan completed this degree while working full-time as a Senior Marine Electrical Engineer at BMD. His focus in Power and Energy Systems strengthens his work designing electrical systems for the vessels we design.

"Time management was the biggest challenge. Balancing coursework with full-time work meant a lot of late nights. Now I'm looking forward to taking my PE exam and earning my license," Ethan shares.
