For one project, the complete renovation of a large early 20th century home, the Arkins crew gutted the building, and Tom Arkins redesigned the entire house. Other recent work includes both residential and commercial projects, such as the design and renovation of a law office situated in an antique barn.

Our Story

Design projects begin with careful consideration of our clients’ goals, ideas and needs. While we provide guidance and technical expertise, our clients are involved in the full design process to ensure that the final product is true to their intentions. Ultimately, our aim is to design and build architecture that precisely matches the expectation of the client.

Tom Arkins was born and raised in County Clare, Ireland, where he grew up working in construction. Upon arriving in the U.S., Tom founded Arkins Construction Company in 1992. Since that time, his team has established themselves as one of the leading design and build firms in the area. Their work includes new construction, additions, renovations, construction design and custom millwork.

Arkins Construction has developed an extensive portfolio. For one project, the complete renovation of a large early 20th century home, the Arkins crew gutted the building, and Tom Arkins redesigned the entire house. Other recent work includes both residential and commercial projects, such as the design and renovation of a law office situated in an antique barn. In 2020, the team is working on completing six new homes.

Tom lives in Little Compton with his family of five and a host of cows on their farm.
