I recently visited the Harley Davidson Museum in Milwaukie, this is the lubrication chart for 1917, to 1919 Harley Davidson motor cycle. "Proper lubrication of your motorcycle is necessary for continued good service"

"Proper lubrication of your _______________ is necessary for continued good service" - Just place what equipment you rely on day to day in the blank and the statement is true.

Proper lubrication is hit or miss when you visit plant to plant... Lubrication is a science in itself and when done properly your equipment will continue to give you "good service"

If you are into motorcycles this is a fun place to visit.

I get lots of comments from people who see my videos and wonder how you access the equipment after you apply the coating. Simple, just cut it and remove. It comes off quickly with very little effort.

These images were taken on a 13.8kv disconnect at the connection point. The temperature was 55 deg F with a slight breeze and a dew point of 38.5 deg F with partly sunny conditions.

The second image's left picture is B phase and the right picture is C phase. This is a Delta T of 19.7 Deg F between B phase connection point and C phase's Connection point. This clearly shows a fault condition on C phase. (both pictures have the same scaling)

The Third image (FLIR0922.jpg) shows two images, the left image is the overview and the right image is a zoomed in view of the connection point and optimized to show the detail of the connection point.

This was discovered while scanning a yard that is not owned by the company that has the fault, currently working on getting in touch with the company that owns the equipment. I don't know how much current was being measured at the time of these photos so I don't have a comparison to the other two connections like this. Also I don't have a feel for how much more energy can be produced as I don't know what the maximum current for the system is. These disconnects are tied to Hydroelectric power generation.

Bearing Failures due to contamination?

I use these small bore pillow block bearings as the next best thing to a live demo to show customers the benefits of Enviropeel.

These bearings were dipped in Hot Envriopeel but the in field application of this thermo-polyer is sprayed on. Enviropeel does not stick to anything except for itself so the shaft is able to spin inside the coating.

This gives the bearing an impressive level of protection from outside contaminates. Keep your lubrication dry and clean.
