A missile interceptor component that fails inspection doesn't get a second chance in the field.
That's the quality standard Modus Advanced builds to. For missile interceptor programs, our AS9100 Rev D-certified quality system governs every process β CNC machining, RF shielding, Form-in-Place (FIP) gasket dispensing, coatings, and soft goods converting β under one roof, one traveler document, and one traceability record.
Here's what that looks like in practice:
- Machined housings: Β±0.25 mm (Β±0.010") standard tolerance, with full dimensional traceability from raw material through first-article inspection
- FIP gaskets:Β±0.15 mm (Β±0.006") standard bead tolerance; materials qualified to MIL-DTL-83528 for defense applications
- Converted soft goods: Dimensional tolerances to DFARS-compliant MIL-SPEC materials, with incoming inspection records and full traveler documentation
- CMMC Level 2: Third-party assessed by a C3PAO β 110 security controls protecting Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) from first design review through final delivery
- ITAR registration + DFARS compliance: 100% domestic manufacturing, no offshore handoffs, no supply chain security gaps
Every vendor transition in a fragmented supply chain is a new quality system interface β and a new place something can go wrong. Consolidating machining, shielding, gasket application, and converting under one AS9100-certified quality system eliminates that exposure.
When the component has to perform from -55Β°C to 125Β°C (-67Β°F to 257Β°F) under high-G launch loads and flight vibration, "meets spec" isn't a finishing line. It's the starting point.
Because failure isn't an option here.
