Waiting your turn. Handling a loss. Celebrating a win kindly. These moments come up naturally at the game table, and they are exactly the skills that carry into the classroom, friendships, and home.

We are excited to partner with Livingston Counseling Associates to bring you Your Move: Social Skills Through Board Games, a 6-week small-group program for students in Grades 2 to 12. Each session begins with a short lesson led by a licensed counselor, who teaches a specific social skill. Students then put that skill into practice right away through guided board game play, so learning turns into real experience.

Over the six weeks, students work on emotional regulation, fair play, self-awareness, communication, and sharing in a setting that feels fun and low-pressure.

Fridays: Grades 2-3 and 4-6, Nov. 6 to Dec. 18
Wednesdays: Grades 5-6 and 7-8, Nov. 4 to Dec. 16
Tuesdays: Grades 9-10 and 11-12, Nov. 3 to Dec. 15

Our tutors see it every week: a student who understands the material but can’t get started, loses track of assignments, or shuts down when the workload piles up.

That’s not a content problem. It’s an executive functioning problem, and it takes a different kind of support.

That’s why we’re partnering with Livingston Counseling Associates on The Executive Advantage, a 6-week small group where middle and high schoolers practice organization, time management, task initiation, emotional regulation, and social skills in a hands-on setting.

Knowing what to do is one thing. Knowing how to do it is another.

The Executive Advantage is a new small-group program that helps middle and high school students turn strategy into habit: organization, time management, task initiation, emotional regulation, social skills, and self-awareness.
These skills are not built from a worksheet. They are built through practice, in a small and supportive setting, alongside peers working through the same real-life situations.

Grades 6-8: 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.

Fall 2026 is a full week of learning at Brainiax. From ABC Explorers for our youngest learners to Algebra Foundations and Creative Writing for older students, we have small-group classes every day of the week for PreK through Grade 8, taught by experienced educators right here in Livingston.

Classes begin the week of September 14, and our one-day Mini-Camps run September 21, November 5, and November 6.

Do you have a young writer at home? Our Fall 2026 Creative Writing classes are open, and this year there's a class for two age groups. Students explore fiction, poetry, and personal narrative through playful prompts, building vivid description, believable characters, and the confidence to share and revise their own work, all in a small, encouraging workshop led by an experienced educator.

Two classes available:
