Compressor swap,, customer really needed a new system, but it wasn't in the budget. Always give options, just explain the pros and cons

Less expensive option on a new system , I personally did not like the old Airtemp systems but the new redesign I like.
The furnaces are built strong and have a very installer friendly design, the microchannel coil design uses a lot less refrigerant and the metal on the condensers is thicker than comparable Carrier units.

Been selling a lot of these lately. The absolute best for a zoned system but just excellent overall, especially the noise level and value. Small footprint too. 18 seer is the most common model we offer.

I can install a Bosch 18 seer inverter condenser for less than a 16 seer 2 stage system. Small, quieter, fully variable speed compressor. No need to upgrade thermostats or zone boards.
