We've lost one of our own. Steve has been a valuable addition to our Logan Clay team for the past 10+ years. He will be greatly missed by all of us as well as our customers and contractors he’s worked with over the years.

It is with a heavy heart that we share the passing of our good friend and colleague, Steve Matheny, P.E., F.ASCE — a valued asset and member of the NCPI family.
Steve passed away suddenly yesterday (Monday August 10) while scuba diving with friends in the Florida Keys. Steve's contributions to ASTM International, UESI - Utility Engineering and Surveying Institute and the North American Society for Trenchless Technology (N***T) will leave lasting marks, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and worked with him. Thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.

This technology is a great way to install our No-Dig pipe.

The Pilot Tube Method (PTM) is a versatile and precise technique favored by underground contractors. PTM combines elements from microtunneling, auger boring, pipe ramming, and horizontal directional drilling to accurately install pipes for gravity flow sewer systems.

Defined as a multistage method, PTM starts with a guided pilot tube and is followed by upsizing to install the final product pipe. It offers impressive accuracy—within ±1 in of design grade and ±3 in of alignment. With typical drive lengths of up to 400 ft, and the capability to handle various ground conditions, PTM is adaptable and efficient.
