Jeannette has joined Autumn Construction Services as our newest Site Safety Manager and is currently supporting our Tank Farm Upgrade Project at Chicago Midway International Airport. She will be leading jobsite safety efforts throughout the project, helping maintain the highest standards of safety and compliance.

Congratulations to Holly Rainey, Project Executive at Autumn Construction, on her recent graduation from the Next Generation Leadership Institute (NGLI) at the Family Business Center, Loyola University Chicago.

Holly shared about her experience in the program:

"The Next Generation Leadership Institute (NGLI) program at Loyola University Chicago, challenged me to become more intentional in how I lead, communicate, and respond under pressure. One of the biggest lessons I learned is that leadership is not about having all the answers. It’s about creating clarity, building strong people, and moving work forward with consistency and purpose. I’m grateful for the relationships, perspectives, and growth this experience brought me."

Another successful JOC project in the books. Autumn Construction recently completed a cooling tower reconstruction at City Colleges of Chicago-Harold Washington College, helping restore system performance and durability through a comprehensive rehabilitation effort.

In the spirit of National Skilled Trades Day 2026, we asked a few members of our team why they chose a career in the trades and some of the coolest things they’ve learned while working in the field. Hear what they said.

National Skilled Trades Day was established in 2019 to raise awareness of the skilled trades gap and recognize the hardworking professionals in plumbing, electrical, welding, HVAC, and other essential trades. Today, we’re proud to celebrate the men and women who help keep our industries, infrastructure, and communities running every day.

It’s National Apprenticeship Week, and we’re celebrating the crew coming up in the trades.

Our apprentices are out on jobsites every day, learning by doing and building the skills that keep everything moving. Programs like these matter. They open doors, create real career paths, and help keep the trades strong for the long run.
