Choosing the right dock leveler starts with understanding the strengths and limitations of each type. The three main types of levelers are:

• 𝗣𝗶𝘁-𝗠𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗱: Built for high-volume operations and heavy loads. This is the most versatile option when working with trucks at varying heights.

• 𝗘𝗱𝗴𝗲-𝗼𝗳-𝗗𝗼𝗰𝗸: Mounts directly to the edge of the dock, providing a simpler and more cost-effective installation. However, they typically have a lower load capacity and a more limited operating range.

• 𝗩𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹-𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴: Typically used in applications where strict climate control or security is important. The leveler stores in an upright position inside the dock, helping create a tight seal around the door.
