Answers to some FAQ’s ⤵️
ADUs require drafted plans and permits with the city.
When working with an existing structure it's not as simple as putting in a shower/toilet to your garage, throwing up some drywall and hanging a for rent sign.. though we wish it was that simple!
Original structures must be brought up to code and current energy requirements need to be implemented. It's important to evaluate the cost of bringing a structure up to code vs tearing it down and starting fresh.
Consider the life of the dwelling as well as maintenance and repairs.
