RAA Encourages Congress To Pass Long-Term FAA Reauthorization
Sept. 24, 2018
Washington, D.C. — Leaders in the House and Senate have made great progress toward the long-term reauthorization of the FAA with a bipartisan, bicameral agreement to authorize the agency through 2023. It is imperative for lawmakers to quickly pass the legislation this week before the FAA’s current authorization expires. The legislation will give the FAA and all aviation stakeholders the long-term certainty needed to plan for the future. RAA commends Rep. Bill Shuster, Rep. Peter DeFazio, Sen. John Thune and Sen. Bill Nelson for their leadership in reaching this important compromise. Now, all members of Congress should follow their lead and vote this week to pass this important bill.
