Another milestone completed on our Wekiva addition project. We recently passed the window and door inspection after completing the installation of the bucks, waterproofing, sealing, and exterior openings.

These inspections help ensure the home is protected from water intrusion and built to meet code requirements before moving on to the next phase.

We’re proud to keep this project moving forward and look forward to sharing more progress soon.

We’re making great progress on this home addition in Wekiva. One of the key milestones we just completed is the installation of the new windows and exterior doors.

Before any window or door is considered complete, proper waterproofing is critical. Water intrusion is one of the biggest causes of future damage, so we take extra steps to make sure these openings are protected from the start.

✅ Custom window and door bucks installed to create a secure attachment point and help ensure proper integration with the masonry walls.

✅ Waterproofing and flashing completed around the openings to help direct water away from the structure and protect the building envelope.

✅ High-quality exterior sealants and caulking applied to create a weather-tight seal around the windows and doors.

These details may not be the most visible part of the project, but they’re some of the most important. Proper waterproofing today helps prevent leaks, mold, and costly repairs down the road.

Next, we’ll continue preparing the exterior so we can move into the next phases of the addition.

This project was one for the books. We started with a massive, leaking skylight that was causing nothing but headaches. The solution? A complete custom build. We removed the old unit and engineered this “dog house” style roof structure with integrated windows.
