Daviess-Martin County REMC is saddened by the passing of Larry Brochin. Larry dedicated 36 years of service to our cooperative, serving from 1966 to 2002, and was a valued member of the REMC family.

His contributions, strong work ethic, and commitment to our members helped shape our cooperative and will not be forgotten. We extend our deepest condolences to his family and friends during this difficult time.

Ever wonder what a pole-top rescue looks like?

This training teaches our linemen how to safely rescue a coworker who becomes injured or incapacitated while working on a utility pole. It's a skill we hope never to use, but one we're committed to practicing so our crews are ready when it matters most. ⚡💪

“Mayday, Mayday, Mayday.”

It’s a call we hope is never made, but one our crews must be prepared to respond to without hesitation.

Recently, Daviess-Martin County REMC employees participated in pole-top and bucket rescue training, practicing the skills and procedures needed to safely rescue a fellow lineman in the event of an emergency.

By regularly practicing these rescue techniques, our crews are better equipped to protect one another when every second counts.

Because at the end of the day, every employee deserves to go home safely. 🦺
