Happy Aviation Day of Ukraine! ✈

The professional holiday of military and civilian aviators, aviation industry, and transport workers in Ukraine is celebrated annually on the last Saturday of August.

The achievements of the Ukrainian aviation school occupy an honorable place in world aviation. From Igor Sikorsky to Oleg Antonov, even today, despite the full-scale war, the history of aviation continues to be written by the followers of the glorious feats of Ukrainian aviators and pilots of the past.

Culver Aviation joins in congratulating all those involved with special pride and gratitude because it is the tireless work, bold ideas, and resilience to the challenges of previous generations of sky conquerors that make the achievements of modern aviation, including unmanned aerial vehicles, possible.

32 years ago, a new era in the life of the Ukrainian people began when our country was proclaimed an independent democratic state. The dream of many generations about the national and cultural revival of Ukraine, built on the principles of democracy, and political and economic freedom, has come true.

Today, we are once again forced to defend our independence and statehood on the battlefield, to fight the enemy for the right to be masters of our native land, for our right to a peaceful and free future.

Independence Day is a symbol of the strength, unity, and invincible spirit of our society, its will, courage, and unwavering faith in its path.

It is something that inspires us at Culver Aviation every day to make new achievements, despite all the challenges and trials of today. We are grateful to the Armed Forces of Ukraine for the opportunity to continue our work on the technological front and are confident that innovations and technologies will help us to survive and build a new bright future for our country.

🚀 April 12 is the International Day of Human Space Flight!

👨‍🚀 On this day in 1961, for the first time in history, a man orbited the Earth, opening the era of manned space flight. The launch was led by our countryman, a native of Ukraine, Serhii Korolev, who was the head of the rocket program at that time and widely considered the founder of the world's practical cosmonautics.

Not many people know, but the first song performed in space was in Ukrainian. It was presented by our Ukrainian astronaut Pavlo Popovych on August 12, 1962, when he sang the song "Watching the sky and thinking a thought" by request of Serhii Korolev.

The contribution of Ukrainian scientists to global astronautics is enormous. Today's successes in astronautics are the result of the efforts and selfless work of many thousands of people, romantics who make yesterday's dreams come true every day.

Every year on this day, we honor the feat of the rocket and space industry workers of past generations and those who continue the traditions of Ukrainian rocketry, aviation and cosmonautics.

At Culver Aviation, we are proud that among our partners and employees there are people who are sincerely in love with the sky and continue to contribute to the progress of innovative industries.

Our colleague, Culver Aviation R&D engineer Vladislav Yakimenko, heads the rocket and space engineering club phoenix.rockets, which teaches young future engineers the techniques of making flying models, the basics of aerodynamics, strength, balance and controllability of rockets, airplanes, gliders, model aircraft and multi-rotor systems.

Culver Aviation's partner and good friend Pylyp Dukhliy is a co-founder and director of the alternative school brobots, where students study programming, robotics, electronics, modeling, etc. along with general education subjects.
