We’re thrilled to introduce the passionate leaders driving our chapter forward:

🌟 Mehrzad Naseri – President
A master’s candidate in Petroleum Engineering, Mehrzad brings over 3 years of expertise from Linde Engineering and KIPICOfficial. His research on the effects of CO₂ on cement wells is paving the way for sustainable energy solutions.

🌟 Jai Dolwani – Vice President
With internships at Toyota and Seplat Petroleum, Jai is exploring how earthquakes affect well integrity in Southern California. His dedication and diverse experience fuel our mission.

🌟 Abir Hasan Bhuiyan – Secretary
A Ph.D. student specializing in CO₂ storage prediction, Abir’s work in machine learning is crucial for advancing sustainable energy practices.

🌟 Debabrata Gayen – Treasurer
A master’s student in Chemical Engineering, Debabrata’s research focuses on deep borehole storage of nuclear waste. Debabrata’s expertise in unit operations ensures our chapter runs smoothly.

🌟 Nima Daneshvarnejad – SPE-USC Consultant
A Ph.D. student researching methane detection in abandoned wells, Nima’s innovative approaches address critical environmental challenges.

🌟 Ernesto Ortiz Zamora – Social Activities Chair
A Master’s student in Petroleum Engineering with previous internship experience at Dow Chemicals. Ernesto is hoping to grow the SPE-USC community through engaging social events.
