Most notably, all three actors starred in the 2005 coming-of-age roller-skating comedy Roll Bounce. While Good and Bow Wow played central figures in that 1970s-themed film, Jackson and Bow Wow later developed a major cinematic partnership as co-stars in the 2010 hit comedy Lottery Ticket, famously improvising some of the movie's most memorable scenes. Johnny Brown (1937–2022) was a versatile American actor, comedian, and singer best remembered for his iconic role as the housing project superintendent Nathan Bookman on the hit 1970s CBS sitcom Good Times. Born in St. Petersburg, Florida, and raised in Harlem, Brown launched his career as a nightclub performer and stage entertainer, gaining early renown for his smooth vocals, impressions, and signature charismatic smile. Mentored early on by jazz legend Sammy Davis Jr., he showcased his multi-faceted talents across Broadway in the musical Golden Boy and as a regular cast ensemble member on three seasons of Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In. Over a prolific six-decade career, his extensive television credits spanned beloved series including The Jeffersons, Family Matters, Sister, Sister, and Martin, alongside film roles in The Out-of-Towners and The Wiz. He passed away from cardiac arrest in Los Angeles on March 2, 2022, at the age of 84, leaving behind an enduring legacy as a trailblazing figure in classic television comedy.
