Project Lyceum is moving into its next major phase.

With framing complete, we’re now preparing for insulation and drywall on the interior, while stucco work begins on the exterior.

These stages are where the project starts taking shape beyond the structure, bringing us one step closer to a finished home. Every phase is carefully coordinated to keep the project moving efficiently while maintaining quality throughout the build.

Project Spazier update 🏗️

We just finished framing and windows for this 4 unit multifamily build.

This is usually the point where it stops feeling like a jobsite full of materials and starts looking like actual spaces. You can finally walk through it and understand how each unit will sit.

Still a long way to go, but this is a big step forward.

Most people only realize these things once they’re already living in the space.

It’s rarely the big design choices or the budget that cause issues. It’s the small things that get missed early on.

Most commonly missed details:
Storage that looked “enough” on paper but isn’t in daily use.
Outlets placed where they don’t actually get used.
Lighting that feels too dim or too focused in one spot.
Bathrooms and kitchens without proper airflow.

Good design isn’t just how it looks when it’s done. It’s how it feels to use every day.

Otsego is now at stucco and interior finishing 🔧 We’re past the heavy structural work and into the stage where the details start to show up, like finishes, textures, and the overall feel of the space.

It’s starting to look less like a build site and more like a space now. You can see the details slowly coming together.

Still some work ahead, but it’s definitely taking shape 🧱

This is a 360 sq ft studio ADU in La Crescenta, and it’s a good reminder that an ADU doesn’t have to be huge to add value to a property. A lot of homeowners assume their lot is too small, but projects like this often prove otherwise.
