Now Hiring: Construction Foreman / Supervisor
We are seeking a Construction Foreman/Supervisor to manage construction projects, ensuring that work is completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards. You will supervise construction workers, equipment, and materials.
Responsibilities
• Read project plans, drawings, specifications, and blueprints
• Oversee and coordinate all aspects of a construction site, including supervising crews, ensuring safety compliance, maintaining project timelines, managing budgets, interpreting blueprints, and resolving on-site issues
• Delegate responsibilities and tasks to crew members, contractors, and other workers according to priorities and plans. Work with owners, general contractors, sub-contractors to achieve productive outcomes for the project.
• Supervise workers: Ensure workers are properly supplied with tools and equipment, and that they are working safely and productively to ensure the project is kept on schedule
• Inspect projects: Regularly inspect projects to ensure quality and compliance with plans
• Report progress: Prepare reports on work progress and equipment maintenance
• Manage resources: Ensure that resources, materials, and equipment are used efficiently and not wasted
• Communicate: Communicate with project managers, engineers, and other personnel as needed
• Ensure compliance: Ensure that work complies with all relevant safety standards and regulations
Skills and experience
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Experience in civil engineering and construction management
• Ability to read and understand drawings, blueprints, and construction plans
• Advanced knowledge of construction procedures and knowledge in operating equipment such as excavators, front end loaders, motor graders, backhoes, etc. commonly used in dirt work.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• In-depth knowledge of safety guidelines and best practices
• Knowledge in operating equipment such as excavators, front end loaders, motor graders, backhoes, etc. commonly used in dirt work
Position Requirements:
• Applicants should have 10+ years of experience in construction, 5+ years in a supervisory role.
• Must have a valid driver's license and clean motor vehicle record to drive company vehicles.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions.
• Knowledge of safety standards pertaining to construction field.
• During peak season, ability to work overtime and occasional weekends.
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
