I never planned to work in construction.

Alexis had the construction experience. I had to learn everything else.

We were figuring it out together, making mistakes, learning, and growing along the way.

And somewhere in the middle of it all, I realized I wasn’t just helping my husband build a business.

We were building something together. 🤍

EP. 1 | How it all started

We didn’t start with everything figured out.

No big team. No perfect plan. No idea how far this would take us.

We just knew we wanted to build something of our own.

So we started.

Along the way, we made mistakes, learned, took risks, and slowly became the people—and the business—you see today.

Looking back, I’m so glad we didn’t wait until we felt ready.

Because sometimes you start first… and become ready along the way. 🤍

Back in 2018, Alexis lost his job, and I remember thinking, “Why don’t we just start our own business?”

We started with handyman jobs, and while Alexis focused on the work in the field, I started researching what it would take for us to become properly licensed.

I made the calls. I studied. I invested in getting help. And I passed my exams on my second try.

Today, Alexis is on the job site making the vision happen, while I handle the business, administration, design, and everything behind the scenes that keeps it moving.

It may look like we have two different jobs, but we’re building the same business. 🤍🙌🏻

And honestly, that little idea we had back in 2018 has become so much bigger than we ever imagined.
