Wendy Waits’ journey with LPX is a powerful example of steady leadership,
growth through opportunity, and what happens when someone truly invests in
people.
Wendy joined LPX in 2016 as a Fixed Asset Coordinator, bringing with her
years of logistics experience from Rogers Group. From day one, she understood
the importance of organization, accountability, and keeping operations moving
efficiently. But more importantly, she understood people.
As LPX continued to grow, so did Wendy’s role. She moved from Fixed Asset
Coordinator to Triaxle Fleet Dispatcher, where she quickly became the steady
voice behind daily operations — managing schedules, solving problems in real
time, and building strong relationships with drivers. Her ability to balance
logistics with leadership made a lasting impact.
Today, Wendy serves as Triaxle Fleet Supervisor,
overseeing a fleet of 50 company trucks and 60 drivers. During peak season, she
also manages an additional 50–60 subcontractor trucks, not including night
shift operations, coordinating moving pieces at a scale that requires
precision, urgency, and constant communication.
She is responsible for dispatch operations, maintenance coordination,
compliance oversight, and scheduling — ensuring the entire fleet operates
safely, efficiently, and without interruption. Her leadership and ability to
manage complex logistics play a critical role in maintaining daily production
and supporting overall operational success.
Under her leadership, the fleet has grown from 27 trucks to 50 — a direct
reflection of both company growth and the trust placed in her ability to lead
it.
But numbers only tell part of the story.
Wendy has dramatically improved driver retention by building a culture
rooted in respect, accountability, and consistency. She knows her drivers. She
supports them. And she shows up for them — literally. Every morning, she’s in
the yard saying good morning, checking in, and making sure her team starts the
day strong.
That presence matters.
Fleet operations demand discipline and organization. Leadership demands
empathy and trust. Wendy brings both. She has grown alongside the company,
stepped confidently into increasing responsibility, and built a fleet culture
that reflects her commitment to people and performance.
Wendy doesn’t just manage trucks — she leads people. And because of that,
the triaxle fleet is stronger, more unified, and more dependable than ever.
We’re proud to have her leading it.
