We have been honored to be the company that these homeowners entrusted their gorgeous, historic home to for it's restoration and renovation work for nearly twenty years.
Things have changed as one of the owners passed away and the other is ready to move on.
This presents a unique opportunity to own one of the most accurately and well preserved, personally owned historic homes in the area.
There is so much history within the walls of this beautifully maintained home and Olmstead designed gardens, as it's construction predates the civil war.
As a lover of literature, I used to love to hear the stories about how John Steinbeck, among others, spent time with one of the former owners writing there for weeks at a time.
It would do my heart so much good to see this home go to another conscientious owner who will love and preserve this estate as much as the these guys did.

This 5644 square feet Single Family home has 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. It is located at 7112 Covered Bridge Rd, Prospect, KY.

SUNDAY SAFETY TIP!

With the heavy snow coming, we wanted to remind you why keeping exhaust vents are so critical:

Keeping exhaust vents clear of snow isn't just about home maintenance – it's about protecting your family's safety and your home's integrity.

As displayed in this image, your home has several important exhaust vents that need to remain clear. This includes vents for your furnace, water heater, dryer, and bathroom fans. These vents serve a critical purpose: removing dangerous gases like carbon monoxide, excess moisture, and other byproducts from your home.

When snow blocks these vents, these harmful substances have nowhere to go except back into your living space.

Carbon monoxide, often called the "silent killer," is particularly concerning. This odorless, colorless gas can build up rapidly when furnace or water heater vents are blocked, potentially leading to severe illness or worse. Similarly, blocked dryer vents not only reduce your appliance's efficiency but can also create fire hazards as lint builds up in the system.

Once the snowfall ends, be sure to take a walk around your home and check all external vents. Clear away any snow buildup, ensuring there's at least a foot of clear space around each vent. Pay special attention to vents near ground level, which can become buried as snow accumulates or gets pushed aside during shoveling or plowing.

Remember, this isn't a one-and-done task. During periods of heavy snow or drifting, check your vents multiple times per day. It's a small investment of time that could literally save lives.

By keeping your vents clear, you're not just maintaining your home – you're protecting your family's safety and health throughout the winter months.
