Four ways to cut concrete. Only one is right for your specific job. ⬇️

📐 Flat sawing: precision cutting for slabs, floors, roadways, and runways.

🧱 Wire sawing: advanced cutting for complex geometries, bridge decks, and large concrete cross-sections, built for jobs traditional methods can't handle.

🏗️ Wall sawing: clean, controlled vertical and horizontal cuts for elevated structures, walls, and reinforced concrete.

What is core drilling, and why does it matter when the wall is this thick? ⬇️

Core drilling uses a diamond-tipped bit to cut a clean, precise hole straight through concrete.

No cracking. No stress on the surrounding structure. Just a controlled opening, exactly where it's needed.

📏 This hole is 16 inches in diameter.
Cut through 2 feet of solid concrete.
Heavily reinforced with rebar.

That combination changes the job.

Larger-diameter bits require more torque to maintain stability. Thicker walls mean the bit is engaged longer, increasing the opportunity for it to wander. Dense rebar can also cause the bit to bind or deflect if it isn’t being run properly.

💧 Managing water and slurry through the cut matters just as much as the drill itself.

Getting a hole this size this clean isn't about the equipment. It's about knowing how to read the wall and keep the bit tracking true from the first inch to the last.

Every bubble in that first slide is water losing. 💦❌

This concrete tank at a water quality treatment facility had active leaks running through cracks too fine to see from a few feet away. The facility couldn't shut down to make the repair.

So we didn't ask it to.

Water is displaced, then urethane is slowly pushed through the cracks until the leaks sealed, working through the tie holes you see in slide 3.

Slow and controlled wins this kind of job. Rush the injection and the crack never fully seals.

Tank stayed operational. Leaks stopped. Job done.

This wall has already given up 6 feet... ⬇️

We removed the first section in earlier phases using a wire saw. Now we're back for the rest, cutting both vertical and horizontal lines through the same heavily reinforced structure.

No blade saw could handle a cut this deep or a structure this reinforced. Diamond wire is the only tool built for it. 💎

Phase 3 is still in progress. We'll share the finished result once the last section comes down.
