Here at BSW, we educate young adults and build futures!
Here is a photo of Matthias, a student from Liberty HS who took his first Discovery flight ever!
We are proud to partner with Kentucky schools and also offer these opportunities as a Liberty High School-A Big Picture Learning Partner!
At our shop, Matthias built new skills and finished installing the heat shield on the lower cowling of the RV-12iS!

We are partnering with area schools where student groups work and learn hands-on in our shop, each group on a bi-weekly schedule!

These students were in the workshop yesterday building the new Rotax/Bosch Fuel Pump System for the RV-12iS.
We will be posting actual photos of installation of the Fuel Pump Assembly later today.

Josh Yurt , Mechanical Engineer of Purdue and Fitz (Engineer and Speed School Alum -who is also one of our longtime and highly appreciated build mentors) , came by to help build the oil cooler and radiator mounting brackets for our Rotax 912iS engine!
We took care of all of our complicated customs issues with our in NY, with the import of our charger system and cables for the electric aircraft that we imported from Germany, Hi Five!!- and we are now finally awaiting the delivery!

Pictured are our new Atherton High School students and attendees of our regular Wednesday class!
We have another set of Atherton students who joined and will attend our Friday sessions. Each Atherton group attends one day per week while our Liberty High School program is a two day per week workshop!
We are proud to open horizons of learning and leadership- and we are proud to be a partner in building futures! Each student who joins also is introduced to the program with an introduction flight in our own home-built aircraft!

We are working with Purdue University Polytechnic Institute and their engineers on the electrical aircraft engine mount and the new design is currently being 3-D printed with Align.
We had Purdue Engineering Professor, Dr Turner, visit our shop to evaluate our project in partnership with future Purdue Engineering Capstone projects and to build a stronger partnership.
We look forward to Dr Turner’s upcoming visit to enjoy a test flight in one of our own RV-12 aircraft!
We currently work hand in hand with Purdue Polytechnic Engineers who are helping design a new engine mount and baggage compartment for our experimental electric aircraft project and the new design is being 3-D printed by Align.
