In manufacturing, providing more part information can often lead to better pricing. For instance, whether a part is structural or non-structural can be a helpful piece of context that many customers don't initially provide.

If a component is part of the solid structure of an aircraft or rocket, we need to be especially careful about how we machine it. We do not want to put unnecessary heat or stress into the material or weaken the part through our machining.

Many engine and rocket motor components are made from materials such as:

- Inconel
- Monel
- A286
- Other high-performance alloys

These materials are often selected because they can perform in difficult environments. But those qualities can also make them significantly more challenging in aerospace machining than aluminum or standard stainless steel.
