Vectis Automation

Vectis Automation Vectis’ mission is to empower manufacturers with easy-to-use, flexible, and affordable automation

We are a team of passionate engineers with over two centuries of combined experience in the welding automation industry. We saw a growing need for low-risk, low-cost, and easy-to-use automation solutions catered towards small/medium shops needing to boost productivity amid the shortage of skilled labor - so we started Vectis in early 2019. With several hundred systems in the field and the largest

cobot fabrication install base in North America, our mission remains the same as when we started: provide the lowest-risk and easiest-to-use automation solutions at an accessible price. We believe in:
- Absolute Customer Focus
- Integrity, Honesty, and Respect guiding our every action
- Empowerment of Employees and Customers
- Culture of Listening
- Always Innovating

“This isn’t about replacing craftsmanship. It’s about using the right tools to improve quality, production, and efficiency while keeping skilled hands involved every step of the way.” - OBS Solutions 🤝

Across more than 800 fab shops, Vectis cobot tools are helping skilled welders stay focused on the high-value work that drives quality production forward. The goal has never been to remove people from the process - rather, about giving great fabricators better tools to stay competitive and productive.

Thank you to the OBS Solutions team for sharing and for continuing to champion what practical, real-world automation can look like on the shop floor!

We are one week away from American Welding Society Welding Automation Expo & Conference 2026!

If you’re evaluating welding automation or trying to avoid the mistakes that have derailed automation projects in the past, this is a conference worth attending.

🗓️ June 2-4, 2026
📍 Minneapolis, MN

Vectis Chairman & Co-Founder Doug Rhoda will be co-chairing the event and sharing lessons learned from decades of automation successes and failures across manufacturing. Many “automation didn’t work for us” stories start the same way: the wrong application, inconsistent upstream processes, unrealistic expectations, or choosing tools that weren’t built for real production environments. WAEC is designed to help manufacturers avoid those pitfalls and implement automation successfully.

Vectis Regional Manager Kyle Anderson will also be presenting on how to properly scope and execute welding automation projects, with practical insight focused on real shop-floor implementation.

We hope to connect with you there!

“All gave some, some gave all.”

The Vectis team wishes you a meaningful Memorial Day. Today, we remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. The freedoms we enjoy each day exist because of those who stepped forward to defend them.

Their courage, their sacrifice, and the families who carry that loss will never be forgotten.

This Rover Slide™ system recently shipped out to a customer - take a look as Brendan, Mechanical Engineer at Vectis, provides a walkthrough.

We’re excited to continue expanding cobot deployment flexibility to assist fabricators with even more applications, including their largest, most time-consuming weldments.

Tools like the Rover Slide are built to lend a hand by soaking up repetitive arc-time and freeing up welders to focus on the high-value work that keeps shops moving forward!

Vectis is heading to New Zealand!

Join us at EMEX, 26-28 May in Stand 4121 alongside our partners Impact Machinery Pty Ltd, where we’ll be showcasing Vectis cobot welding & cutting tools proven in real-world fabrication environments.

We'll be highlighting our Rover™ and Park'N'Arc™ systems designed to bring cobot tools directly to the part, as well as our cart-based deployment options. For structural steel and heavy fabrication shops, mobile cobot tools are opening the door to automation on large weldments and applications that go far beyond the traditional welding table.

Our team will be available throughout the show to discuss your applications, provide live programming demos, and share how 800+ fabricators are leveraging Vectis tools in their shops.

We’re looking forward to connecting with manufacturers across New Zealand and continuing to expand our support for fabricators throughout the region!
