Vectis Automation

Vectis Automation Vectis’ mission is to empower manufacturers with easy-to-use, flexible, and affordable automation

We are a team of passionate engineers with over two centuries of combined experience in the welding automation industry. We saw a growing need for low-risk, low-cost, and easy-to-use automation solutions catered towards small/medium shops needing to boost productivity amid the shortage of skilled labor - so we started Vectis in early 2019. With several hundred systems in the field and the largest

cobot fabrication install base in North America, our mission remains the same as when we started: provide the lowest-risk and easiest-to-use automation solutions at an accessible price. We believe in:
- Absolute Customer Focus
- Integrity, Honesty, and Respect guiding our every action
- Empowerment of Employees and Customers
- Culture of Listening
- Always Innovating

Recently, we had the opportunity to welcome local students from Poudre High School's P-TECH program to Vectis HQ for a hands-on look at modern manufacturing and the role automation is playing on today’s shop floor.

It's always an honor to host students and get the next generation excited about the possibilities of advanced manufacturing!

We appreciate the P-TECH team for spending the morning with us and asking thoughtful questions along the way.

“Our biggest differentiator is our ability to scale. Our Vectis cobots in welding have helped us to do that.”

As grown from 1 Vectis system to 7 in production, they’ve been able to continually scale as company alongside their customers, taking on increasingly large jobs that previously would’ve been limited by their manual welding capacity.

Now, Caltech looks back on that initial investment into welding automation as “one of the best decisions we ever made.”

We’re honored to partner with Caltech and the 800+ fabricators increasing their welding capacity with the help of Vectis tools!

Showcasing flexible cobot solutions all across North America!

Last week saw the Vectis and Advanced Motion & Controls Ltd. teams at FABTECH Canada, where we enjoyed a very busy week of application discussions, live welding demos, and new product debuts.

The team also had the opportunity to join Kopar and Universal Robots in Monterrey for Automation Match Day, showcasing what practical automation can look like on the shop floor.

Thank you to our great partners who make these events possible, and thank you to everyone who took the time to connect with the team and discuss your challenges – we’re looking forward to continuing these conversations and seeing if Vectis tools can lend a hand!

“The support with Vectis has been the reason why we keep coming back. The [cobot] integrator is absolutely everything.”

When Caltech Manufacturing INC first invested in welding automation, their goal was to eliminate their bottleneck in welding to continue growing as a company.

What began with 1 Vectis cobot has expanded to 7 systems as the company continues to scale, enabling Caltech to tackle demanding production schedules, build internal automation expertise to tackle a wide variety of applications, and create a sustainable foundation for continued growth.

By partnering with Vectis, Caltech was able to:
⚡ Sustainably grow as a company through long-term application support and technical expertise
⚡ Scale alongside their customers and take on increasingly large projects
⚡ Run production schedules up to 20-24 hours a day, 6-7 days a week
⚡ Shift repetitive aluminum weldments from manual TIG welding to automated MIG welding

Robust equipment and software capability are crucial - but just as important is choosing a cobot integrator/automation partner with the service & support to help you continue growing long after the initial deployment.

Hear in Caltech's own words why the right automation partner makes all the difference as your business continues to grow:

A sincere thank you to everyone who has taken the time to connect with the Vectis team at the American Welding Society Welding Automation Expo & Conference this week. The conversations and presentations have reinforced an important theme: successful automation is about far more than technology alone. It requires the right strategy, the right processes, and the right people to champion it.

It’s been especially encouraging to see so many manufacturers taking the time to approach automation the right way by learning from the experiences of others and focusing on sustainable, long-term success.

We were honored to have Vectis Chairman & Co-Founder Doug Rhoda and Regional Manager Kyle Anderson contribute to the conversation this week, and we appreciate everyone who joined us to share their perspectives and make this week such a valuable learning experience.

10,368 welds and 0.34 miles of weld bead in one week.

Thank you to the team at H&H Metals for sharing these impressive production numbers from their Vectis system!

Applications like these are a great example of where cobot welding can provide real value, taking on repetitive welding tasks while skilled welders stay focused on fit-up, complex fabrication, quality, and the many other jobs that require their expertise.
