We’re excited to introduce, Jane Bova, the talent behind the interiors of our Homearama 2026 home. Jane is our in-house interior decorator.

What makes this collaboration even more meaningful is that it started as a client relationship. After building her own home with us, she was inspired to join the team. Jane shares that she was so impressed with the quality of the home and the meticulous attention to detail throughout the entire process.

“This project has been such an exciting, evolving experience—watching the vision come to life through each phase, from framing to drywall to the final interior and exterior finishes. I love approaching every decision through the lens of the future homeowner, focusing on the details that make a home not just beautiful, but truly comfortable and livable.”

Of course, designing a Homearama home comes with its challenges too. “It can feel like the sky is the limit—but balancing that vision with budget realities and allowances is key. It’s a constant exercise in knowing where to invest and where to pull back, all while maintaining the overall integrity and quality of the home.”

We can’t wait to unveil this home at the show—every detail is intentional, and every space is designed with how it will be lived in, day to day.

We asked Alan (AJ) Johnson what it is like managing the build of a Homearama show home?

“For me, it’s a proud moment to serve as superintendent on a project like this. The goal is simple—but not easy—deliver a high-quality home while everything is on display throughout the process.”

What makes it exciting? “The challenge. Construction is all about following the right steps in the right order. When you stay disciplined and don’t jump ahead, the project moves efficiently and the quality shows.”

On any home, that discipline gets tested. In this case more so due to the input of a larger team. “One of the biggest challenges is coordinating multiple trades at the same time—keeping everyone productive without being on top of each other. That takes planning and constant awareness of what’s happening on site.”

At the core of it all? Communication. “Strong communication with our subcontractors and vendors is key on every project—but on a home like this, it has to be dialed in even further.”

It’s the behind-the-scenes coordination, problem-solving, and attention to detail that ultimately brings a show home and all our clients’ homes to life—and we’re proud of the team making it happen.

One of the unique parts of building our Homearama 2026 home is the craftsmanship is happening right inside the home.

Our carpenter has set up a full woodshop in the basement during construction—allowing him to build the custom built-ins on site, tailored precisely to each space. From shelving and cabinetry to one-of-a-kind details, this approach gives us complete control over quality, fit, and finish.

It’s a behind-the-scenes look at the level of detail and care that goes into every John Hill Construction home. Be sure to come see the finished product at the show this year.
