Hope everyone had a great 4th of July! This post stings a little and we have been putting it off for a couple of days. First off, let me start by saying we are in no way getting out of goats. BUT, we can not continue to manage this many animals in the style we feel goats should be managed with our current schedules. We start in the barn before 5 am and after basic farm chores, bottles, milking, and school schedules we leave the barn most nights after 10pm! Up until now our schedules have always accommodated running a herd this large, but moving forward we need way less goats.

The hardest part has been trying to decide who to sell, the last adult animals we sold were really hard to part with. But our hopes were that after those sales we would be at a more manageable place. We aren’t!!! So this time we have decided to literally leave it mostly up to fate or God if you will. We have a handful of animals that certain family members have chose not to part with. But the majority of the herd is up for discussion, we currently have 120 goats including babies and we are looking to get below 50. When we hit that number sales will stop, until then if you are familiar with our herd and the genetics we have and are interested in purchasing one of these great goats please private message us. There are a lot of really great does and bucks, some have their milk stars, some are finish champions, and of course we have a ton of babies born recently. Not all of our animals are on our website, so if it’s certain genetics you’re interested let us know and we can tell you what we have available.

We will not be making individual post until August when summer classes are over, but if you know one that you would specifically be interested in then please let us know.
