From Total Sulfur to Organic Chlorides, we offer several different services on our X-Ray Fluorescence Machine. Sulfur methods include ASTM D2622, D4294, D7039; as well as Total Chlorides by ASTM D7536 and Organic Chlorides by ASTM D4929C. We strive for reliability and efficiency.

The Pantechs Story

Pantechs Laboratories, Inc. was founded by Jim Holcomb in 1969 in the booming oil town of Pampa located in the Panhandle of Texas. Jim realized the need for accurate, dependable, and efficient oil and natural gas analytical services for the local oilfields operated by the likes of Philips Petroleum and Getty. Jim built a foundation for quality service and reliable results early in Pantechs Life.

Recognizing the need to expand, Jim's son Steve Holcomb established a new Laboratory in Lubbock in 1976 while obtaining his engineering degree from Texas Tech University. Steve became President of Pantechs in 1996 when Jim elected to retire. Steve took the opportunity to grow the business by introducing new services such as detailed, extended gas and liquid analysis setting Pantechs as the premier analytical lab in West Texas. Pantechs now provides analytical lab work for many Oil & Gas Operators, Transporters, and Refiners in Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Kansas.

In 2016, the third generation has come in to service with Pantechs. Steve's son Ryan Holcomb has become the new Vice President of Pantechs. Ryan brings to Pantechs 15 years of experience as a Petroleum Engineer with both large independent E&P companies and an independent engineering consultant.

Jim Holcomb passed away on August 4th, 2010. We honor his legacy by continuing to grow Pantechs through integrity, quality, and reliability.
