Small flood job we completed after a plumbing line was punctured. Removed the affected Sheetrock and spray foam insulation that absorbed lots of water. Dried out the area with fans and dehumidifier. 5 Worst Causes of Roofing Leaks

* Damaged or Missing Shingles: Shingles act as a protective barrier; high winds, debris, or age can cause them to crack, curl, or go missing, exposing the underlayment.
* Clogged Gutters and Downspouts: When debris blocks water flow, it creates pools on the roof or causes water to back up underneath the shingles, causing leaks.
* Broken/Cracked Pipe Boots (Vent Boots):These rubber or plastic gaskets seal vent pipes. They degrade from sun exposure, causing the rubber to crack and allow leaks.
* Age and Natural Deterioration: As roof materials (especially asphalt shingles) age, they become brittle, lose granules, and succumb to thermal expansion/contraction, losing their waterproofing capability.
