Great little PSA from Kenergy I thought I would share today.
If you can possibly keep from running that dryer during the middle of the day when it's this hot, you really help your electric bill and your air conditioner unit a lot!

Running heat-emitting appliances (like dyers and dishwashers) in the evening will reduce indoor heat gain during the day when outdoor temperatures are highest and ultimately keep your air conditioner from working harder than necessary.

Everyone's air conditioners have been working overtime this week. Check and replace your air filters to insure you're not putting even more strain on your AC unit.

* PSA for today, for when these temps are as hot and humid as they are all week this week🥵
As a general rule of thumb, please remember that if your home is 20° cooler than the outside temp, most likely, your AC unit is doing all it can do! I know there are people who like to keep their home in the high 60's, but during heat waves like this, it's near impossible to keep your home at those temperatures; even 70°-72° is asking a lot of those units right now. Also, if you notice that your unit is running for hours and hours on end and not shutting off at all, go ahead and try to run that thermostat up one degree, because it needs a little break every now and then, too 😊
