Here's the rule I use when an owner asks what to automate first: highest value, lowest risk wins.
Because if you start with the loudest problem, or the trendiest tool, or the thing somebody made sound easy online, you can burn 90 days building a workflow that barely moves the number.
We were working with an insulation business that had several constraints. Rescheduling. Review routing. Schedule changes. Blueprint estimating.
We didn't pick the one with the most noise around it. We picked the one where a build could save hours right away, prove its ROI fast, and earn buy-in for the next one.
That turned out to be blueprint estimating.
