Drumroll, please! The 2024 recipient of the Bergmeyer x Hip Hop Architecture Camp Scholarship + Internship Experience is: Iyana Benjamin from Washington, D.C.!

The Hip Hop Architecture Camp is returning to Atlanta! This program is 100% FREE, please share with young people in the Atlanta area!

During the program students will be introduced to Hip Hop design principles, learn 3D modeling, write and record music, and shoot a music video!

When:
Monday, July 17, 2023 - Friday, July 21, 2023

Time:
8:30AM - 12:30PM

Where:
Shaw Contract Group, Northwest, 1555 Peachtree St NE #150, Atlanta, GA 30309

Cost:
FREE

Who is Eligible:
6th - 12th graders

12 years ago today our lives changed.

After 9 months of anticipation, our first son, MJ3 became our angel. His heart stop before being born. We always said we would read him The Cat in The Hat when he was born, and that’s what we did!

His heart stopped, but it made ours grow.

MJ3 is one of the big reasons why we dedicate our time and energy to kids everywhere.

Calling all previous Hip Hop Architecture Camp participants!

Now in its second year, the partnership between Bergmeyer and The Hip Hop Architecture Camp strategically extends support past the financial opportunity of the scholarship with the
implementation of the design internship, which provides the student awarded a hands-on experience to learn and develop their skills in architecture, urban planning, and design.

Providing students from historically marginalized communities the opportunity to gain real-world experience working in a professional setting is a mission-critical component to Bergmeyer’s approach to furthering equity, diversity, and inclusion through actionable efforts
in the architecture and design industries.

If the scholarship recipient is not located in or around the greater Boston area, all travel and lodging expenses will be paid for the recipient to travel to Boston during the summer of 2023 to participate in the internship at Bergmeyer, including hotel and
airfare.
