🔴Congratulations to Cub Industries Ally Zuckschwerdt🔴

Ally is a multi year welder for Cub Industries that has competed at the state level in welding for Skills USA, an active member of our student based enterprise program, and a top performer academically!

Ally sets the trend for girls in STEM and we couldn’t be me proud to have her represent Cub!

🔴 What’s New with Cub 🔴

Cub Industries students have been on the MOVE the past two months!

From local manufacturing tours, to Indianapolis for Student Industry Council meetings, our Cubs are prepping up for their future!

Big THANK YOU to VSG who hosted a great industry tour for manufacturing month, where students learned about multiple careers in manufacturing and how they can start planning for that NOW.

Cub Industries’ students presented their business to peers, industry leaders, and program investors, all made possible because of our GREAT partnership with Conexus!

Senior Chip Cox lead his first program tour of Cub for Jacob Perkins from Amatrol. Our students aren’t only learning hands on skills they are also learning the business side of manufacturing and valuable leadership skills to dominate in the workforce!

Cub wants to extend a HUGE thank you to Nikki Jagow from Conexus for her continued support and love of Cub Industries. We can’t wait to help grow and strengthen our student based enterprises in Indiana!

🔴🎅🏽 “A Cub Christmas Came Early” 🎅🏽🔴

Congrats to all Cub Industries students and staff that participated in the Golf Cart parade for homecoming! Cub Industries won 1st place for their themed carts this year!

Congrats to all the students who were on court, especially Cub engineering students! Madison Cubs brought home a win over Mitchell for homecoming and the game had a great turn out. If your a Cub fan and are looking for Cub Accessories, check back with our page to see when and where you can get customized Cub gear and more!

This was a particularly fun project for Cub Industries. Cub Engineering and Cub Manufacturing students collaborated to design and construct both carts for the parade. Cub students have already began making strides in and out of the classroom to advance in their skill building and careers. Stay tuned for more exciting updates from Cub Industries!

🔴Special Thanks to Mr Dave Ungru, always loyal supporter and contributor to Cub Industries, for supplying us with material for our cart competition!🔴

⚠️WARNING Big Post! ⚠️

Our CTE Programs at MCHS have been BUSY! From Work Based Learning Open Houses to Industry Tours in our amazing town, roughly 500 students in our career and technical education programs were exposed to careers in food and beverage, healthcare, manufacturing, and so much more. Students learned a variety of things ranging from what the businesses do, to the career opportunities they provide, and how they can begin their opportunities NOW!

We could not have made these two separate events happen without the continued partnership of Ivy Tech Community College and the outstanding employers. This is also the first time we have had several of these employers in the building. A huge thank you is in order for everyone who participated in the two events. Enjoy the optics Cub Family!

🔴 Event Participants 🔴
Grote, MPP, SuperATV, Arvin Sango, VSG, Nucor Gallatin, Norton KDH, Trilogy Healthcare facilities, Clifty Inn, Marriott Fairfield Inn, Nucor, John Heitz with Red Inc, The Chamber of Commerce, North American Stainless, and Belterra Culinary Staff.

Today is a great day to be a Cub! It was such an honor for Cub Industries and Madison Consolidated Schools to be a part of The Sunrise Crossing ground breaking ceremony.

Cub Industries and MJHS will be working on some amazing industrial art work for the City of Madison this year in collaboration with artist Dale Rogers. This Public Arts Collaboration project would not have been possible without the strong support from The City of Madison and our wonderful staff!

Stay tuned for project updates from Cub Industries!

What a start of 22’ for Cub Industries!!! We started off the year with $32K more in our Enterprise account thanks to the Jefferson County Redevelopment Commission! Cub Industries students Chip Cox, Neel Mistry, and Mathew Burkhardt pitched a great presentation purposing the board for funding to grow their program capabilities with new equipment and classroom supplies. The board approved their request and we have since ordered new welders for our manufacturing program. Cub has been very busy connecting with industry partners and connecting with outside organizations to help grow exposure of our great program. Cub Industries welcomed Conexus and Nucor this month. Cub Enterprise Coordinator Ms. Mathews and Mr. Lamb toured the guest of the facility, where their staff interacted with students and we got to show off our skills. Nucor team had a great visit with Cub. The local manufacturing company staff members toured the facility and gave a great presentation over the Nucor Academy program they offer to local high school students. Cub Manufacturing and a Cub Diesel students competed in SkillsUSA, at Vincennes University. Students placed 8th-12th in Diesel and 9th in Welding. We also have a few congrats to you wish.
Congratulations to Cub Industries student Skylar Smith for swearing into the military as a junior, your Cub family is very proud.
Cub Manufacturing student Ally Zuckschwerdt placed 7th in state for female wrestling, congrats to you Ally you’re a rockstar welder and wrestler!
Last but not least BIG Congratulations to one of our fearless leaders Mr. Herrick! He and his fiancé Liz are to wed this weekend and Cub went all out to congratulate their instructor! Stay tuned for more updates.
