Electrifying steam production at the district scale starts with understanding the electrical infrastructure needed to support it.

For CenTrio Energy’s Western Avenue Steam Plant in Seattle, WA, developed medium-voltage one-line diagrams, coordinated with Seattle City Light, and evaluated multiple boiler configurations—including options that could operate directly from medium voltage without a transformer. The team also studied equipment locations within the existing plant, accounting for constructability, operational continuity, and flexibility for future improvements.
