MEET THE CREW: MARCUS 🛠️

Marcus may be one of the younger guys on our team, but the way he carries himself, takes care of his family, and approaches his work speaks far beyond his years.

He came to ORCA a couple of years ago already bringing several years of experience in both the pool and fencing industries, and since then he has become an incredibly important part of our team. Today, Marcus leads our fencing department and is someone we know we can count on to work hard, take ownership, and make sure the job gets done right.

What we respect most about Marcus, though, is the kind of man he is away from the jobsite. He has stepped up for his family in ways that say a lot about his heart and his character. He takes care of the people who depend on him, and he brings that same loyalty, responsibility, and work ethic to ORCA every day.

It’s not often you see that kind of maturity, commitment, and heart in someone his age.

Marcus, we’re proud to have you as part of this company, grateful for everything you do, and excited to see where the next several years take you. We truly believe he has a bright future ahead of him, and we’re glad he’s building it with us.

Keep pump running 24/7: Proper water circulation helps to prevent algae and bacteria growth

🧼 Cleaning 🧼

🍃 Skim Daily: This removes leaves, insects, and debris from water surface.
🧹 Brush Weekly: Scrub walls, steps, and corners to prevent algae build up. We recommend a nylon bristled brush to protect the pool finish.
🦠 Vacuum Weekly: Use a manual or automatic pool vacuum to remove dirt and algae from the pool floor.
🗑️ Empty Baskets: Clean skimmer and pump baskets weekly to help water flow and filtration.

👩🏽‍🔬 Chemistry 👨🏽‍🔬

🧪 Test pool water: Maintaining balanced water chemistry is crucial for clarity and safety. Test your pool water with an at home test kit or for free at our retail store and adjust as needed.
⚡️ Shock: Shock your pool once a week with 0.5 lb- 1 lb of super shock to eliminate algae and bacteria.
↔️ pH: 7.2-7.8
🏊🏼‍♂️ Alkalinity: 80-120 ppm
☀️ Chlorine: 2-4 ppm
😎 Calcium Hardness: 200-300 ppm
⚖️ Stabilizer: 30-50 ppm

Meet the Crew: Dillon

This is Dillon, our In-Ground Pool Sales & Construction Manager.

I've known Dillon for a long time. We started in the pool business together as teenagers, and life has taken us both on quite a journey since then. I'm thankful that our paths crossed again a couple of years ago, because he's become an incredible part of our team.

Over the last two years, Dillon has helped tons of families create their dream backyards and continuously sells multiple six figures monthly. More importantly, he's earned the trust of our customers and our team through his hard work, integrity, and the way he treats people.

Outside of work, he's the proud dad of five boys and is getting married next month. Seeing the man he's become has been one of the most rewarding parts of building this company.

I'm proud to have him on the ORCA team, and I can't wait to see what the future holds for him.
