Things I do as a professional cleaner that may spiral others:

• Tell clients the truth- even when it costs me money.
• Recommend specialists when something is outside my scope of knowledge
• Carry insurance because accidents CAN happen, unfortunately.
• Redo work if something gets missed without hesitation. We’re human and it can happen!
• Use disinfectants correctly instead of just spraying the air with Brazilian all purpose spray and calling it “sanitized”.
• Turn down jobs I can’t properly accommodate
• Support businesses just like mine because we’re all working towards one goal 🫶🏼
• Understand this is a luxury service. Clients are paying for trust, consistency, professionalism, experience & peace of mind- not just somebody with a mop & vacuum.
• Don’t charge pet fees.
• Continue learning other standards and new products.
• Don’t overpromise just to get the booking.
• Care more about long-term reputation than being the cheapest cleaner on Facebook & making quick money.

Some people clean houses.
Some people build actual professional businesses.

There’s a difference.
