FRAMING - 2.5 WEEKS IN!

- water resistant barrier (ZIP System)
- roof decking & dried in

4 DAY FRAMING UPDATE!
This 5,500 sq. ft. owner-builder project is really starting to take shape.

Our team and trusted vendors have been working diligently to keep each phase of construction moving according to plan. Currently, we’re wrapping up the first-floor walls and roof trusses, with the ceiling joists being delivered next.

In total, we anticipate the framing phase will take approximately four weeks to complete. We’re excited to continue making progress and bring this custom home one step closer to completion.

Let's talk about Erosion Control at one of our owner-builder properties in Montgomery, TX.

This home has roughly a 5-foot elevation difference toward the back of the property. In order to properly preserve surrounding trees, our Jr. Builder, Dax, helped implement hay wattles, hay blankets, silt fencing and small temporary retaining walls.

Framing shouldn’t come immediately after pouring your foundation. ❌

For a post tension foundation, the concrete needs time to cure and gain sufficient compressive strength before the post tension tendons are stressed and the next phase of construction begins.

Typically, this means waiting approximately 5–7 days, or until the concrete reaches 2,000 psi before moving forward.

Giving the foundation adequate time to cure and properly completing the post tensioning process helps ensure the slab is ready for the loads that come with framing.
