Students from Magnolia High School's AP Science Classes partnered with our environmental team to help plant a pollinator garden at our training facility—and they got right to work! From digging and planting to learning about native species and sustainability, these students made a real impact.

Pollinator gardens play a vital role in supporting bees, butterflies and other wildlife that keep our ecosystems thriving. And thanks to these students, this space will continue to grow and benefit our community for years to come.

We’re proud to support hands-on learning opportunities like this and even prouder of these students for showing up, getting involved and making a difference.

Fun fact - The annual Magnolia Blossom Festival was born from the Annual Sidewalk Art Show, which began on the courthouse lawn in 1950. Today, that tradition continues as we celebrate the 76th Annual Art Show, now proudly hosted by Magnolia Arts.

Albemarle is excited to continue our longstanding support of the festival as an event sponsor — and this year, we’re honored to be the official sponsor of the beloved Annual Art Show! The show embraces the spirit of STEAM and welcomes creativity from all ages — from popsicle‑stick masterpieces to Picasso‑inspired works. 🎨✨

More fun to come… but we can already tell this year is going to be a great one!

Teammates Juan Ortiz and Alenda Fogle took a couple of hours out of their Tuesday to box meals and hand them out to neighbors in need at the local Stew Pot. A simple act, but one that makes a real difference for those facing food insecurity.

Opportunities like this remind us that giving back doesn’t have to be complicated—it just takes showing up, lending a hand and caring for one another.

We’re grateful for employees who lead by example and for the chance to serve together.

Huge thanks to Stephen Stamps for hanging out with the Taylor Middle School students recently and chatting all things our site + the artificial marsh!

The kids were all in — asking questions, learning cool stuff, and probably leaving with way more marsh knowledge than they ever expected on a school day.

Thanks for making science fun and representing our team like a champ!

Last night’s Magnolia-Columbia County Chamber of Commerce banquet was filled with community spirit and a deep appreciation for the individuals, organizations, and businesses that make Magnolia stronger. One honoree we are especially proud of is our very own—recently retired—Steve Card.

Steve was presented with the Archie Monroe Lifetime Achievement Award, a well‑deserved recognition for his community involvement and his 37 years of dedicated service at Albemarle before retiring in 2025. Throughout his career, Steve applied his knowledge not for personal recognition, but to advance safety, preparedness, and responsible growth—values that have directly benefited our community.

Beyond his work at Albemarle, Steve served on numerous boards across the area, leaving a lasting legacy that continues to strengthen local institutions and support residents today.

We are grateful for Steve’s many years of service to Albemarle Magnolia and to the Magnolia community. Congratulations, Steve!

We could not do this without the businesses and individuals who choose to stand beside us.

As we gear up for Compassion’s Foundation 1st Annual Clays for a Cause, I want to take a moment to publicly thank the sponsors who have stepped up in a big way to support survivors in our community.

A heartfelt thank you to:

• Jeanne Bowman Franks
• Albemarle
• Production Services, Inc.
• Farmers Bank & Trust

And we are excited to welcome our newest sponsor the Magnolia Advertising & Promotion Commission!

When local businesses and community leaders invest in this event, they are investing in safety, advocacy, and hope for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault in our community.

If you see these businesses, thank them for supporting Compassion’s Foundation and the families we serve. And if you haven’t signed up your team yet for Clays for a Cause now is the time!

Together, we are making noise for a cause that matters.
