We leveled this lift kit out the correct way today for a customer. The kit came complete, but once installed the front was a bit low. Most shops would just crank your preload adjusters and send you home. Instead, the correct way is to first calculate the maximum allowable preload, and in our case we were already there. The only way forward was to order a 2” longer spring at the same rate, to maintain ride quality while giving more lift. I always take the time to try and explain why we do what we do, and most of the time people appreciate that type of communication.

Fixed up this 1st gen Taco SAS double cab a few weeks ago. Truck had almost no braking ability and was blowing through a set of tires in 1000 miles. Castor was set into the ground, turning the wheels into the pavement, and the braking system was not matched to the 1ton axles. We re-set the castor, added to accommodate the steep ujoint angles, and used a GM 1ton booster adapter to regain stopping power. That required using a 95.5 Tacoma booster, with a slightly modified push rod. Customer said it drives better than ever, and we were happy with that.

Finished a fun project today. This build was very specific. High quality parts all serving a purpose. dual ultimate t cases, front hi pinion and rear differentials locked and re geared to match the tire size. Triple stick shifter setup with a custom removable center tunnel cap. Front axle rebuild, diff armor and brand new Tom Woods driveshafts. Truck was already appropriately armored. Very pleased with the outcome and the customer is was stoked, ready to go wheel. We are having a lot of fun building these trucks.
