Our team finished our 2nd round of sampling and here we have undergraduate extraordinaire showcasing one of our water sampling techniques. At the end of the plankton net, we have a filter that collects eDNA from the river’s steady flow. Check out the several shorebirds on the river bank! 🌊🦆
We’re taking a break this month from our monthly updates meeting but don’t fret! We’ll have tons to share in January 2021, keep checking those emails for more details. For now, take a breather and stay strong through the end of the year! 📧

Ever wonder how keeps over 10,000 archived replicates organized? Each sample has a number and alphanumeric code associated with it as well as information about when, where, and how it was collected. With samples stored at both and our teams use these numbers to quickly search the freezer databases to keep track of where samples have been stored!
