1/18/2024.....Snowy gravel road, not that far from home, hard to tell where road was, slightly deep ditch, backhoe on its side couldn't open door on cab, called wife, wife called 911, Malvern Volunteer Rescue INC. Malvern Volunteer Fire Department Mills County Sheriff's Office and neighbors Monte West and Terry Barney were all Johnny on the spot. Transported to MCMH in Red Oak to be checked out. He will be sore for few weeks. It could have been worse. Guardian angel worked overtime.
