All sensors are factory installed and calibrated for ease of installation on-site. Each unit is tested and configured. The cost of installing controls at the factory is more economical as the unit is virtually plug n'play for any HVAC installer. Below are the sensor pre-installed with every unit:
- Outdoor, supply, return, & exhaust temperature
- Energy recovery wheel rotation status
- Dirty filter sensors
- Supply and exhaust fan airflow monitoring sensor
- Fan status
- Thermal overload sensor
- Hydronic coil frost protection

ERV Monitoring
There are three levels of alarm classes: A, B, C to handle high and low level priority conditions. Many alarms have adjustable set-points for your applications needs. Examples of alarm conditions are:
- Energy recovery wheel minimum efficiency
- Airflow set point
- High and low temperature set points (OA, RA, and SA)
- Sum alarm and external alarm input
- Plus many more . . .
Controller Capabilities
The highly configurable controller is geared toward ERV applications. It is pre-programmed from the factory and can accommodate changes to the program on-site via the remote display. Below are some available control features:

Mixed Air Temperature, expressed as a function of return air temperature and percentage, and outside air temperature and percentage.

%OA = {(MAT – RAT) / (OAT – RAT)} x 100

an accredited laboratory

The Systemair laboratory is designed and equipped to perform
testing in accordance with AMCA Standard 300, Reverberant
room method for sound and AMCA Standard 210 for
airflow performance.

Since the lab first earned AMCA accreditation, Systemair has
worked to continually increase the lab’s capabilities. This commitment to continued growth has allowed for testing units
in accordance with other standards and requirements, such
as AHRI 260 testing, safety regulatory agency testing like UL
and CSA, vibration testing, and full power analysis.

Sound and airflow test laboratory Our dedication to education
Sound power testing—performed at 1/3 Octave band from 50
to 10,000 Hz, in accordance with AMCA Standard 300.
Airflow testing—conducted up to 60,000 cfm at 3” of static
pressure (Pst) or 30,000 cfm at 10” of static pressure (Pst), in
accordance with AMCA Standard 210.

Use of Toilet Exhaust for Energy Recovery Purposes has generally been prohibited. However with the use of Renewaire Static Core Energy Recovery units that provide complete separation of Supply and Exhaust Air streams, energy recovery is possible. This project located in Yonkers, uses the waste energy from the bathroom exhaust to temper the outside air provided to the corridor spaces. This offers substantial reduction in cost associated with heating the fresh air supplied to the building.
