Congratulations to Spartan Aerospace for winning our 2017-2018 Manufacturing Sector Award. Spartan Aerospace continually utilizes Workforce Development programs offered in part by Capital Workforce Partners to talent. Spartan Aerospace played an especially integral role this year in providing two internships for Synergy Alternative High School's Manufacturing Apprenticeship program. Spartan is a local supplier of Aerospace and Military components for companies like Rolls Royce, Pratt and Whitney, and GE. Like hundreds of companies in Connecticut, finding talent for the future is a pressing need. Taking advantage of area initiatives is a path to addressing this issue.

Spartan Aerospace was proud to hold the Lockheed Martin F-35 cockpit flight simulator event on June 4th. The event had speakers such as John Larson (U.S House of Representatives) and Allan Lehrer (President of Spartan Aerospace) both pushing the growing industry of manufacturing in CT and the growth of manufacturing education for the next generation of the states workforce.

Our latest program to increase manufacturing velocity on the shop floor includes our new Zeiss Duramax. The CMM has been installed as part of the machining flow line to enable our machinists to verify product throughout the machining process. This will reduce the burden on our quality department and enable operators to ensure their own product quality.
